WHERE EXACTLY IS IT? My home in Idyllwild, California — about two hours from Orange County and from Los Angeles. You'll get the address and directions once you're registered.
IS IT REALLY WOMEN ONLY?
The retreat is — every practice, every teaching and every circle is just us.
A happy thing to know: you won't be cooking, and neither will I. This is our home, and my husband Chuck is here all weekend as our cook, our dishwasher and our Saturday trail guide. He feeds everyone well and then leaves us to it — the yoga, the philosophy and the circle are just us.
DO I NEED TO BE AN EXPERIENCED YOGI? No. All levels are welcome. The practices are gentle to moderate and everything is offered with options. The hike is moderate and at altitude — not flat, but not technical. Good shoes required.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
Mid-October in the mountains means 60s and golden by day, 30s and 40s at night — bring real layers, a warm jacket and shoes you can walk a trail in.
Bring your yoga mat and a water bottle
WHAT ABOUT FOOD?
Home-cooked, generous, family style, with a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian option at every meal. It's a set menu rather than individual plates, so we are not able to do gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan. You're welcome to bring your own staples — there's fridge space for you.
We have a dog — Sprocket, friendly, gentle and delighted by visitors. He stays out of the bedrooms but lives here, so he'll be around all weekend. Please don't book if you're allergic to dogs.
WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? Deposits are non-refundable. The balance is fully refundable through October 2nd.
