Uncover the relevance of ancient wisdom found in the yoga sutras for navigating modern-day challenges with Juris Zinbergs C-IAYT, E-RYT500. Explore the yoga sutras of Patanjali, which detail the 8 limbs of ashtanga yoga involving ethics, postures, breath control, and meditation. These teachings focus on harmonizing the conscious and subconscious aspects of life to attain tranquility and balance. Throughout this course, we will delve into different translations, interpretations, personal viewpoints, and cultural influences that contribute to our individual understanding of the sutras. Yoga Therapist and Yoga Teacher. Juris began practicing Yoga in 1993. He is a well-known and respected leader in the Orange County, Ca., Yoga community. He was certified in 1997 by Gary Kraftsow of the American Viniyoga Institute to teach asana, pranayama and Sanskrit chanting in the same yoga tradition of TKV Desikachar and T. Krishnamacharya. Juris also completed AVI's three-year training course in the application of yoga as a therapeutic process for managing symptoms caused by acute and/or chronic disease (Yoga Therapy). Each session will cover different sutras and content. You may choose to take only 1, 2 or all 3 courses. A discount is offered for booking multiple courses. This Course will also be available on Zoom if you are unable to come to the studio.
